Currently, the Safeguards Information System is under construction. Its function is to report on the process of compliance of the UNFCCC safeguards. The UN-REDD Programme has provided targeted support to Fonafifo to design the national information system on REDD + safeguards under the UNFCCC. Under this System, the country will report on the approach and implementation of the safeguards.
